29 Nov Mark Schwarzer’s EPL Update for Optus: Man City still clear of the pack

Mark Schwarzer joins Sportsday to chat all things EPL thanks to Optus.

It’s still Manchester City leading the pack with daylight between then and the rest. Schwarzer was effusive in his praise of the champion team.

“What was impressive about Manchester City’s performance last weekend was that they rolled their sleeves up.”

“Manchester City in the second half came out all guns blazing and literally blew [Huddersfield] off the park.”

Manchester United are trying to close the gap, with Chelsea and Arsenal forming a log-jam in the middle of the table.

“The top half this season – we see the big teams coming back into it… Tottenham are still struggling to find form… losing last night puts a lot of pressure on them to perform at home.”

“Manchester U keep putting pressure on Manchester City. Let’s not forget there’s the Manchester Derby coming up which gives them the opportunity to close the gap even more.”
