Finals Preview: Melbourne City vs Brisbane Roar

History beckons at AAMI Park with Melbourne City taking on the Brisbane Roar in the first Elimination Final tomorrow night.

City has finished in its highest position under Warren Joyce (3rd), and will want to redeem themselves after being knocked out of the finals by Perth Glory 12 months ago.

City are unbeaten against the Roar in the last 10 in Melbourne, with Joyce’s men winning seven of those clashes. City however need to bounce back after falling to Wellington in the last game of the regular season.

Brisbane just managed to sneak after a 3-2 win away against Perth Glory on Saturday night. The Roar have the record of the most post-season wins of any team in the A-League with 13, but have lost their last four final games away from Suncorp Stadium.

City have scored the most goals as a team this season with 41, compared to the Roar with 33, while in defense the Roar have conceded 40 goals from the 27 games, with City only having conceded 33.

You can listen to the game tomorrow night on 1377AM Classic Rock Melbourne, Macquarie Radio Brisbane, on the Super Radio Network around Queensland or right here on myfootballnation.com with your call team of Tristan Foenander and Clint Bolton.
