17 Jul Cahill retires from international football
Australian football legend Tim Cahill has announced his retirement from international football.
Cahill made the announcement via his social media pages this morning.
“Today’s the day that I’m officially hanging up my boots on my international career with the Socceroos,” Cahill wrote on social media.
“No words can describe what it has meant to represent my country. Massive thank you to everyone for the support throughout all my years wearing the Australian badge.”
Cahill leaves the Socceroos as their greatest ever goal scorer, scoring 50 goals in 107 international caps.
