19 Jul Report: European giant joins Arzani race

Italian giants Roma have entered the race to sign exciting Australian Daniel Arzani according to ESPN FC.

Arzani impressed during his substitute appearances at the World Cup for the Socceroos and last season’s Champions League semi-finalists are reportedly rivalling Premier League champions Manchester City for his signature.

The 19-year-old was the youngest player at the tournament and has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence following an eye catching second half of the season for A-League outfit Melbourne City.

City have planned to sign the winger before farming him out on loan, but the Giallorossi are prepared to offer Arzani the opportunity of gaining first team football.

Arzani is seen as the best young Australian prospect since the likes of Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell.
