23 Aug Bosnich endorses Arzani’s Celtic move
Former Soceroos goalkeeper Mark Bosnich says Daniel Arzani has made a good career decision by moving to Scottish giants Celtic.
Arzani joined The Hoops on a two-year loan spell last week, after signing with Premier League champions Manchester City, and Bosnich believes the 19-year-old has the tools to thrive in Scotland's top flight.
“It’s a very good move,” Bosnich told SEN Breakfast.
“Unfortunately for young Arzani and for Celtic they didn’t qualify for the Champions League but they will be playing Europa League football most likely.
“It’s a really good place for him to develop at his age.
“He will able to get experience and be able to develop in a team that is a very good team up in Scotland.
“They’ve won the league the last seven or eight years straight, so it’s a really good opportunity for him.”
However, the former Manchester United and Chelsea shot-stopper warned the prodigious attacker that he must adapt to the physical nature of the Scottish Premier League.
“It’s a tough league and he will need to understand that there will be teams and especially players out to make sure that he can’t play to the best of his ability because if he does, he can destroy them,” Bosnich added.
“They’ll try to kick him so he’ll need to learn very quickly how to look after himself.”
