Report: Joyce under pressure to keep City job

Melbourne City coach Warren Joyce is under increasing pressure to keep his job, according to The Herald Sun.

The report states that City chiefs are weighing up their options after they considered removing Joyce from his post this week, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

It comes after City were beaten 3-1 by Newcastle last Friday night, making it four games without a win.

The City Football Group held internal meetings with Joyce about his future ahead of this weekend’s derby against second-placed Melbourne Victory.

A heavy defeat could spell the end for the former Wigan boss with City sitting in fifth position on the A-League table.

Joyce has been criticised for his treatment of marquee striker Bruno Fornaroli after their highly-publicised falling out.

Fornaroli hasn't played for City since November.
