21 Feb Milicic names maiden Matildas squad
Ante Milicic has announced his first Matildas squad since taking the reins as interim coach.
Milicic named a 23-player squad for the upcoming Cup of Nations in preparation for the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
Australia host Argentina, New Zealand and South Korea in the three-nation tournament.
It’s the first squad announcement since Football Federation Australia controversially sacked former Matildas boss Alen Stajcic.
Australia face New Zealand in Sydney next Thursday in their Cup of Nations opener.
