07 Mar Report: Jose Mourinho “almost 100 per cent” certain to rejoin former club

Jose Mourinho is “almost 100 per cent” certain to return to former club Real Madrid as their new manager, according to The Telegraph.

Mourinho was Real boss between 2010-2013 where he won a La Liga title and a Copa Del Ray before returning for a second stint at Chelsea.

The Portuguese could replace current Los Blancos boss Santiago Solari, who is likely to be moved on at season’s end, after they crashed out of the Champions League at the Round of 16 to Dutch club Ajax.

Real Madrid sit 12 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona and have been eliminated from both the Copa Del Ray and the Champions League.

Mourinho was sacked from Manchester United in December after they suffered their worst start to a Premier League season since 1990.
