22 Mar Fornaroli joins A-League rival after City departure
Perth Glory has completed the signing of Bruno Fornaroli on a two-year deal.
The Uruguayan left Melbourne City with immediate effect in February after a highly-publicised falling out with coach Warren Joyce.
Fornaroli, 31, will continues his career in the A-League with the Glory snapping up the striker to further bolster their attacking options for next season.
“Tony (Popovic) said that there is a project here at Glory and that they want to play better than now and do better next season,” he told perthglory.com.au.
“I believe in the project and I believe in the coach and that’s why I’m here.
“I’m where I want to be and this is the most important thing for me. I’m very happy to be here.”
Fornaroli scored 46 goals in 70 appearances in his three-year stint at City, winning the Golden Boot and making the PFA Team of the Season in 2015/16.
Tony Popovic's side hold a nine-point lead at the top of the A-League table.
