Aaron Mooy’s Huddersfield Town relegated from the Premier League

Aaron Mooy’s Huddersfield Town have been relegated from the Premier League following a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Terriers became the second club in the Premier League era to be relegated before the end of March, matching Derby County's record of 32 games set in 2008.

Huddersfield’s stubborn resistance was broken in the second half when goals from Luka Milivojevic and Patrick van Aanholt officially ended their two-year stay in England’s top flight.

Jan Siewert’s side have won just three games all season and will already be preparing for life in the Championship next year.

Socceroos star Mooy could look for a move away in the summer and has been previously linked with Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

The midfielder is contracted to the West Yorkshire club for another season.
