15 Apr Western United welcome two new additions
Western United has announced the signings of Connor Pain and Joshua Cavallo ahead of their inaugural A-League season.
Pain, 25, has made 73 appearances for Melbourne Victory and the Central Coast Mariners playing predominantly as a winger, while 19-year-old Cavallo has impressed for Melbourne City in the Foxtel Y-League.
“We are very happy to secure Connor Pain,” assistant coach John Hutchinson said.
“Here is a young player that already has accumulated over 120 first team appearances and we believe he offers our new team a lot of options with his pace and ability out wide.
“Joshua Cavallo is another bright star on the Australian football scene, and this is a great signing for us.
"Those who follow Josh will know he is an industrious midfielder that has a great eye for scoring spectacular goals. Our fans are going to love him."
Mark Rudan has been linked with the vacant managerial role after he announced he would be leaving Wellington Phoenix at season’s end.
