18 Jun WATCH | Sam Kerr scores four as Matildas down Jamaica
The Matildas have put themselves in excellent position going forward in the World Cup, defeating Jamaica
Sam Kerr was, as per normal, the star, becoming the first Aussie to net a hat trick in a World Cup game, finishing with a four-goal haul.
She was dominant for the Aussies, scoring twice from headers in the first half and putting things beyond doubt with her third, just as the Jamaicans looked to have the momentum.
Her fourth came after forcing a mistake from the goalkeeper and put the Matildas well and truly passed their opponents.
The Aussies now sit second in the Group C standings.
She became only the third player to score four goals in a single Womenโs World Cup game. See all four of her goals here.
