22 Jul Report: Neymar and Bale linked in sensational swap deal
Two of football’s biggest names could be used in a blockbuster swap deal.
According to The Independent, PSG are keen to offload star Neymar and would entertain a swap deal involving wantaway Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale plus cash.
It’s understood Neymar is seeking an exit from the French champions with the player’s team instigating a potential deal that would suit all parties.
The unsettled Brazilian has been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona having departed the Spanish giants for a world-record fee of €222 million in 2017.
As for Bale, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane revealed the Welshman needs to leave the club “for everyone’s sake” and that a transfer was being worked on.
Zidane has deemed the 30-year-old surplus to requirements having helped Los Blancos to a La Liga title and four Champions League crowns since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in a then-record €100 million deal in 2013.
Bale’s reported £600,000-a-week wages remain a major stumbling for any club looking to secure his signature.
