24 Jul Title-winning midfielder departs Melbourne Victory
Terry Antonis has departed Melbourne Victory and sealed a transfer to K-League side Suwon Bluewings on a multi-year deal.
Antonis was a key member in the Victory’s run to their fourth A-League championship in 2018, netting a dramatic winner in the semi-final win over Sydney FC.
GM of Football Operations Paul Trimboli wished the midfielder well as he embarks on his move to Korea.
“Terry accomplished a lot in his time with us, but there is no doubt he will be remembered for a long time by our members and fans for that goal in the semi-final against Sydney FC and the championship that followed,” Trimboli told melbournevictory.com.au.
“This is an opportunity that Terry wanted to pursue, and we thank him for his contributions to our success and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Antonis, 25, scored five goals in 53 appearances for the Victory.
