Adelaide rout dismal City to win third FFA Cup

Adelaide United secured its third FFA Cup trophy after defeating Melbourne City 4-0 in last night's final at Coopers Stadium.

Al Hassan Toure netted Adelaide's opener and helped set up the second to win the Mark Viduka Medal as best afield.

It was Toure’s fifth goal of the campaign as the 19-year-old dazzled on the big stage.

The forward migrated to Australia at the age of five after he was born in Guinea to Liberian parents.

“Considering I was watching from home last year, winning the cup means a lot," Toure told Fox Sports post-game.

“In front of the home fans (and with) support from friends and family, it’s been a joy to play

“This is a dream come true. It’s been a long time, we’ve been working hard. It’s just a dream come true.”

Ben Halloran and Riley McGree also got on the scoresheet for the Reds in front of a crowd of 14,920.
