26 Oct WATCH | Leicester equals record for biggest EPL win in nine-goal rout
Leicester City has dismantled Southampton 9-0 as Premier League records tumbled on a wet night at St.Mary’s.
The nine-goal hammering is the equal biggest win in Premier League history, matching Manchester United’s 9-0 effort over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford in 1995.
It’s also the biggest away victory in an English top-flight match in the Football League’s 131-year history.
Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez scored hat-tricks as the Foxes ran riot after the home side went down to 10-men due to Ryan Bertrand's early red card.
The win comes almost a year since the tragic passing of former chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was killed in a helicopter crash along with four others.
Brendan Rodgers’ side leapfrogged Manchester City into second spot and look every bit a top four team at this early stage.
