Melbourne City have been dealt an early season blow with Jamie Maclaren to miss an extended period through injury.
The in-form striker has been ruled out for the next 4-5 weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Western United.
Maclaren, 26, netted a match-winning brace as 10-man City jumped into second on the table with their second win from three starts.
The Socceroo is the A-League’s top scorer with four goals from two appearances.
He will miss Australia’s upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifier against Jordan on November 15.
