“They’re rubbish”: “Pathetic” Melbourne Victory slammed as miserable start continues

Former Socceroo Mark Bosnich has labelled Melbourne Victory “rubbish” and “pathetic” after their 3-1 loss to rivals Adelaide United.

It’s three defeats in four for the Victory as their stuttering start under Marco Kurz continued.

The four-time A-League champions have won just once form their opening seven fixtures and Bosnich didn’t hold back when asked about the Victory’s miserable campaign thus far.

“They’re rubbish. This is the biggest club in the country,” Bosnich told Fox Sports post-game.

“To every player that participated tonight, what is it? What’s wrong? you don’t like the managers tactics? You’re not happy with the meal you got today? What is it? Because for the biggest club in the country, in terms of support, that was pathetic.

“You come back into the game with a wonderful goal, this is a massive game against one of your biggest rivals in Adelaide and what do you do? Straight from the kick-off you let them score again.

“Obviously in this country you have salary caps … so you can’t just immediately turn around and throw people on the transfer market — but there needs to be a clean-out after seven games as far as I’m concerned.”

Victory next face last season’s premiers Perth Glory at AAMI Park on Friday night.
