09 Jan Report: Matildas star linked with Arsenal move

Caitlin Foord could become the next big-name Aussie to sign with an English Women’s Super League club.

The Herald Sun’s David Davutovic is reporting that Foord is set to follow fellow Matildas star Sam Kerr to the UK’s elite league by joining Arsenal.

It is understood the presence of Australian coach Joe Montemurro will help Foord get to the north London club.

Currently with W-League side Sydney FC, the attacker is set to join a Gunners outfit currently sitting on top of the WSL table.

Furthermore, Foord could come up against national teammate and strike partner Kerr when Arsenal face third-placed Chelsea on January 20.

Foord recently enjoyed a stint in the US with the Portland Thorns.
