15 Jan Report: Melbourne Victory set to cut pair to help clinch Rojas signing
Melbourne Victory will reportedly cut two players in order to seal the signature of Johnny Warren Medallist Marco Rojas.
According to Fox Sports, the Victory have mutually agreed to terminate the contracts of Corey Brown and Kristijan Dobras with immediate effect.
Dobras’ exit will open up a visa spot to accommodate the arrival of Rojas, who is currently a free agent following a brief stint with Danish club SonderjyskE.
The report indicates the New Zealand winger will re-join the Victory on a long-term contract.
Rojas, 28, has already had two stints at the four-time A-League champions and last played for the club in 2016/2017.
The Victory today parted ways with head coach Marco Kurz just 13 games into his tenure.
