23 Jan Report: EPL giants make astonishing $57m offer for 16-year-old sensation
Birmingham City teen sensation Jude Bellingham could be on his way to Manchester United for an astonishing fee.
The Sun has reported Bellingham, 16, is at the centre of a £30m ($57m) bid from the Premier League giants having netted four times in 25 appearances for the Championship club this campaign.
Bellingham is Birmingham’s youngest ever goal scorer and currently pockets £145 ($227) a week at the Blues.
Manager Pep Clotet says “half of Europe” attended a recent game to watch the in-demand midfielder.
“We are aware he is being watched. From the beginning he has been watched since he was 13 or 14,” Clotet said.
“For the Middlesbrough game half of Europe was here. He is used to it and I am used to it.
“I have always said it is very good that clubs show interest in our players because this means that we have good players.”
Manchester United’s season went from bad to worse following a shock 2-0 home loss to lowly Burnley, heaping further pressure on under-fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
