27 Nov City’s Delbridge remains coy on Fornaroli return
Melbourne City’s Harrison Delbridge says he isn’t sure when teammate Bruno Fornaroli will return to the squad, after his shock axing from the side that lost 2-0 to Brisbane last Saturday.
It has been reported skinfolds were the cause of Fornaroli’s dropping, with the Herald Sun suggesting there’s just a “slim” possibility both Fornaroli and manager Warren Joyce will be at City next season.
SEN Breakfast with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson can be heard Monday-Friday 6-9am, and you can subscribe to the podcast here.
“I don’t know, that’s above my pay grade,” Delbridge told SEN Breakfast, when asked when Fornaroli will be back.
“I’m not making those decisions but he is working hard, just as everyone else is in training, and battling away.
“It is a week-to-week decision the boss and coaching staff makes.
“He is a quality player and scored a couple goals for us already. He is always someone can score goals and works hard.”
Melbourne hosts Newcastle at AAMI Park on Sunday night.
