Muscat “pretty pleased” with Victory’s start to season

Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat is content with his club’s start to the season, saying they’ve turned things around after losing their first two matches.

Victory has strung together a three-game winning streak since the season’s opening fortnight, with Muscat explaining how chemistry and comfort levels amongst the group is growing.

“The first little period before the international break, it was a lot of us working out each other and a lot of new players and all those things,” Muscat told SEN Breakfast.

“Then the international break comes and Ola Toivonen gets fit, so he comes back into the squad. From that perspective in the front third, they’re going to need time to gel with each other and understand each other and understand how Ola plays and what his strengths are.

“All in all, we are travelling ok, we are pretty pleased.

“We have been working on a few things in relation to our structure and discipline that we are making process in.”

Victory hosts Western Sydney this Saturday night at AAMI Park.
