10 Jan City captain comments on Fornaroli situation
Melbourne City captain Scott Jamieson says the club hasn’t hid from the Bruno Fornaroli situation, saying the players are simply working to improve in this current season.
Fornaroli is poised to depart the club this month after a fallout with coach Warren Joyce. Reports have indicated Melbourne will acquire Andy Keogh to replace Fornaroli, while the club is also eyeing off Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren.

“We haven’t hid from it, we haven’t ignored it, it’s in there, and it’s in our faces,” Jamieson told SEN Mornings.
“I think it has been handled quite well. Bruno has been fantastic, coming into training, doing what he needs to do, and also the players.
“We have really knuckled down. We haven’t ignored it because it has been in our faces. We have openly admitted it is out of our control.
“We are just working hard to improve our season.”
City faces Brisbane Roar this Friday night at AAMI Park.
