10 Jan Report: Fornaroli for Keogh swap hits City roadblock
The marquee player swap between Bruno Fornaroli and Andy Keogh has hit a roadblock, with Melbourne City reportedly “playing hardball” with Fornaroli.
The Herald Sun has reported City has told Fornaroli he can join any club except Perth Glory.
However, the report also states Melbourne coach Warren Joyce hasn’t ruled out signing Keogh in this month’s transfer period.

City is desperate to replenish their depleted attacking stocks, with Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren also linked to the club.
However, a marquee spot would likely need to be vacated to acquire Maclaren, meaning Fornaroli would need to leave the club.

"I would imagine there’s loads of conversations going on about Bruno, people at the club will tell me if there’s anything concrete with any decisions to make but so far I don’t know that one," Joyce said.
“I wouldn’t talk about (Keogh) out of respect for (Glory). They’re obviously top of the league. You wouldn’t disrupt another player or club.
“I know him (Keogh), that’s not a secret. He’s a good player, he’s done great for them and they’re top of the league.
“We haven’t got a space available to bring a marquee player in.
“We’ve got a bit of money for (Michael) O’Halloran so we’re just looking at (an attacker) who will come in under the cap.”
