22 Jan Report: Ronaldo facing enormous fine for tax fraud
Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo will likely be fined upwards of 19 million Euros ($21 million AUD) soon as he faces court for tax-fraud.
He is expected to plead guilty to the charge today according to the AP.
Spanish judges can hand down a two-year suspended sentence for first time offenders, which is what the 33-year-old is expected to receive.
In 2017, Ronaldo was accused of four counts of tax fraud worth 14.7 million Euros and of using shell companies outside of Spain to hide income.
