29 Jan WATCH | Shoes thrown at Qatar players in Asian Cup
Qatar has progressed through to the Asian Cup final after thumping host nation, UAE 4-0, but the behaviour of the fans has attracted headlines.
A regional boycott of Qatar by countries such as the UAE prompted a politically charged semi-final, where shoes were thrown at the Qatari players.
The boycott is led by Saudi Arabia in relation to Qatar supporting extremists, but the Qataris have denied this.
On the field, UAE fans began to throw shoes at the Qatar players after Almoez Ali made the scoreline 2-0.
This act is considered to be an insult.

The Asian Football Confederation is set to launch an investigation following the crowd behaviour of the UAE fans.
Qatar is yet to concede a goal in the Asian Cup and will face four-time champion, Japan in the final on Saturday.
