30 Jan Report: City striker Fornaroli set to join rival A-League club

Melbourne City striker Bruno Fornaroli will join Perth Glory next season, according to Fox Sports.

The Uruguyan will see out the remainder of the season before moving to the Glory for the 2019/2020 campaign, with City expected to secure the signing of Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren before the end of the January transfer window.

City hope to secure Maclaren’s signature before this weekend’s match against Sydney FC.

Fornaroli hasn’t played for City since November after falling out with coach Warren Joyce.

The 31-year-old became a fan favourite after joining City in 2015, scoring 51 goals in 73 appearances and helping the club win the FFA Cup in 2016.
