11 Mar Zidane makes stunning return to Real Madrid
Zinedine Zidane has been reappointed as Real Madrid manager, just 10 months after leaving the Spanish giants.
Zidane, who agreed to re-join Real on a three-year deal, replaces Santiago Solari, who was sacked just five months into his tenure.
The Frenchman returns to the Santiago Bernabéu following a hugely successful first spell, where he led the club to three straight Champions League titles, one La Liga crown and two FIFA Club World Cups.
Real sit third in La Liga, 12 points behind Barcelona, and are out of the running for silverware in cup and European competitions.
Los Blancos crashed out of the Champions League at the Round of 16 following a shock 4-1 home loss to Ajax.
Zidane’s first game in charge will be against Celta Vigo on Sunday.
