03 Apr Reports: A-League club weighing up move for City coach Warren Joyce
Wellington Phoenix are weighing up a move for Melbourne City coach Warren Joyce if their current boss Mark Rudan decides to leave the club, according to reports.
Rudan is the man behind the Phoenix’s renaissance as they gear up for their first finals series since 2015, but is yet to commit beyond his current contract which expires at the end of 2020.
If the former Sydney FC defender does decide to leave the New Zealanders, Joyce is being sounded out as his potential replacement.
The Englishman is out of contract at City at the end of the season and is under increasing pressure following a 3-0 loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers.
City sit sixth in the A-League in a campaign that has yielded just nine wins from 23 starts.
