Round 24 of the A-League is upon us with some fascinating fixtures to look forward to in what should be another action-packed weekend of football.
Here’s a preview of this weekend’s A-League matches:
Melbourne City v Brisbane Roar

Melbourne City will look to return to the winners list against Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park.
Sixth-placed City were beaten 3-0 by the Wanderers in their last outing to put a dent in their top four hopes.
Socceroos striker Jamie Maclaren is likely to return from injury to face his former club.

Newcastle Jets v Western Sydney Wanderers

The Jets were hammered by Wellington 4-1 last time out while the Wanderers shocked City 3-0 in a morale boosting victory.

Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory

Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory face off in a battle for second spot on the A-League table.
The second-placed Sky Blues are one point ahead of the Victory and a win here would go a long way towards sewing up a top two spot.
Both clubs are coming off convincing wins last week.

Adelaide United v Wellington Phoenix
Sunday April 7th, Coopers Stadium, 5:00pm AEDST
Adelaide United and Wellington lock horns in a match that could decide who hosts an Elimination Final.
The fourth-placed Phoenix are three points above the Reds and have won three games on the bounce – scoring 15 goals in that time.
Mark Rudan’s side have won just once from 10 visits to Coopers Stadium.

Central Coast Mariners v Perth Glory
Sunday April 7th, Central Coast Mariners Stadium, 7:00pm AEDST
League leaders Perth Glory will fancy their chances when they travel to Gosford to face bottom-placed Central Coast.
Perth’s unbeaten run came to an against the Victory last week but they still hold a six-point gap at the top of the A-League.
The Mariners have a good home record against the Glory, winning 16 of their 21 meetings.
