24 Apr WATCH | Relentless Man City return to EPL summit with vital derby win
Manchester City has regained top spot in the Premier League with a crucial 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford – their eleventh straight league win.
Second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane were enough to see the Sky Blues go one-point clear of Liverpool with three games remaining.
Pep Guardiola’s men remain on track to defend their Premier League crown with matches against Burnley (A), Leicester (H) and Brighton (A) to come.
The loss means the Red Devils sit three points outside the top four with a crunch meeting with fellow Champions League aspirants Chelsea on the horizon.
It’s now seven defeats in nine for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in all competitions.
Arsenal’s hopes of qualifying for Europe’s top club competition took another hit as they were beaten 3-1 by Wolves.
