10 May David Beckham banned from driving
David Beckham has been handed a six-month driving ban for using his phone while behind the wheel.
Beckham previously pleaded guilty to using his phone while driving in London in November last year.
A court heard he was photographed holding a phone by a member of the public as he drove in “slowly moving” traffic.
The former England captain was also fined £750 ($1,395), ordered to pay £100 ($186) in prosecution costs and a £75 ($140) surcharge fee within seven days.
Beckham played 115 times for England and won multiple trophies in a distinguished playing career with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and LA Galaxy.
