19 May WATCH | Manchester City thrash Watford in FA Cup Final
Manchester City has thrashed Watford 6-0 in the FA Cup Final to complete the first ever men’s domestic treble in English football.
Prior to the match, coach Pep Guardiola was quick to correct a reporter who claimed that Manchester City would be the first team to win a domestic treble, as he stated that the Arsenal women’s side had already done so.

City retained the Premier League trophy and took home the Community Shield in August to go with their FA Cup win.
Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus each scored twice while David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne netted one goal to lead Manchester City to the biggest FA Cup final win since 1903.
However, Guardiola was infuriated when the subject was raised in the post-match press conference of previously reported leaks concerning alleged payments to his predecessor Roberto Mancini.
This was allegedly done to keep within UEFA’s financial fair play regulations, but City have strongly denied this.
