19 May WATCH | How The Wiggles helped Sydney FC claim A-League championship
Sydney FC goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne stood up when it mattered for Sydney FC last night, proving to be the hero during a dramatic penalty shootout at Optus Stadium.
Perth Glory and the Sky Blues could not be separated after regulation and extra-time, sending both teams into a penalty shootout.
That's when Sydney FC took full advantage, winning the shootout 4-1, courtesy of Redmayne dancing across the goal line like a Wiggle.
This helped save two spot kicks from Glory's Andy Keogh and Brendon Santalab.
For the Sky Blues, winning the shootout was fitting, as they were disallowed a goal despite the VAR showing it was onside.
