Report: Melbourne Victory set to announce Muscat successor

Melbourne Victory has identified Marco Kurz as the man to replace Kevin Muscat as their next head coach, according to The Herald Sun.

The report states the former Adelaide United boss will sign a multi-year deal having been in talks with the Victory since May.

Adelaide decided not to renew Kurz’s contract despite leading the Reds to FFA Cup glory and a semi-final appearance last season.

The appointment of the German is expected to be rubber stamped today.

Melbourne suffered a 6-1 semi-final hammering to Sydney FC after finishing third at the conclusion of the regular season.
