11 Jul Liverpool fans troll Man Utd at Perth training session

Liverpool fans had a cheeky message for arch rivals Manchester United in Perth ahead of the Red Devils' friendly with Perth Glory.

A plane donning the flag "Liverpool FC – 6x European Champions" was flown over a public training session at the WACA and it's safe to say the United faithful were not impressed.

Lifelong Liverpool fan Alun Vernals masterminded the flyby banter with 18 other people.

"With their pre-season being so close to the Champions League final… I just couldn't resist," Vernals said.

Liverpool's sixth Champions League triumph meant their trophy tally in the competition has doubled that of their fierce rivals.
