Crocmedia’s Football Nation is the official radio call of the Hyundai A-League – the result of a landmark six-year deal between Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Crocmedia to bring the game to a wider audience of fans. This will include a host of Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City, Perth Glory, Adelaide United, Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC games in their respective markets.

Muscat who amassed 549 appearances across a 20-year professional career before spending 10 years as an assistant and head coach at the Victory said he was thrilled to be joining the Football Nation team.

At the season launch, Kevin Muscat said “This is hugely different from what I am used to. A break from coaching, it felt a time for change and I’m excited to be part of the Football Nation commentary team. The season ahead sees a number of new coaches in the league, so it should be an exciting season, and I can’t wait to get into it.”

Fans can listen to Football Nation via audio stream available in the SEN app, the Hyundai ALeague Match Centre, Fox Sports Australia Match Centre, as well as live streamed on www.aleague.com.au and www.myfootballnation.com.au.

Pacific Star Network and Crocmedia CEO Craig Hutchison expressed his excitement for the season ahead. “It is indisputable that this sport is one of the passion points for people in Australia, and we are excited to bring Football Nation to the fans. We have an enormous array of talent – it’s a breathtakingly interesting sport to broadcast, and the passion of this game is something that makes a great radio product.”

“Kevin Muscat brings a wealth of experience to our Football Nation call team and we are thrilled to welcome him to the broader Crocmedia stable of talent, as one of the great characters of Australian sport.

“Kevin’s a straight-shooter who calls it like it is and listeners will love the insight and passion he will bring to the call. He has a fantastic sporting mind and a genuine interest in promoting the world game,” Hutchison said.
