06 Nov WATCH | Chelsea and Ajax play out 4-4 Champions League epic
Chelsea has staged a stunning fightback to draw 4-4 with nine-man Ajax in a thrilling Champions League game at Stamford Bridge.
Trailing 4-1, the Blues scored three times in the space of 10 crazy minutes that saw Daley Blind and Joel Veltman sent off for the Dutch champions in the same sequence of play.
Cesar Azpilicueta thought he had given the home side a 5-4 lead only for VAR to detect a handball from Tammy Abraham in the build-up.
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard couldn’t believe what unfolded in a pulsating European encounter.
"Anyone who watched that at home, anyone who was here today or anywhere has to say what an incredible game of football,” Lampard told BT Sport post-game.
The result sees both clubs level on seven points with Valencia, who thumped Lille 4-1 in the other Group H match.
