Former Wellington Phoenix young gun Sarpreet Singh has made his Bundesliga debut for German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
The 20-year-old New Zealander has impressed since making the move to Germany in the off-season, playing in a number of pre-season matches for the club’s senior team.
Replacing Philip Coutinho in the 82nd minute during Bayern Munich’s 6-1 trouncing of Werder Bremen on Saturday, Singh’s appearance maiden Bundesliga appearance caps off a remarkable rise for the winger.
Since making his debut for Wellington in 2017, Singh made 40 appearances across the A-League and FFA Cup.
After Bayern Munich signed him in July, he’s made 14 appearances for the club’s reserve side in the third division of Germany football, impressing coach Hans-Dieter Flick enough to warrant his first senior team minutes.
Singh has also represented the All Whites on six occasions already in his young career.
