16 Dec Blockbuster ties await following Champions League round of 16 draw

The draw for the Champions League round of 16 has taken place overnight with some of Europe’s heavyweights set to clash for a spot in the last eight.

Reigning champions Liverpool will return to the scene of their sixth European crown when they take on Atletico Madrid with the first leg to be played at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Manchester City and Real Madrid looms as a mouth-watering clash while Chelsea and Bayern Munich meet in a repeat of the 2012 final that saw the Blues triumph at the Allianz Arena.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel will face his old side when the French champions lock horns with Borussia Dortmund.
