14 Jan Report: Rojas rejects A-League offer, linked with Victory return
Marco Rojas has turned down an offer to join Melbourne City, according to the Herald Sun’s David Davutovic.
It’s understood City were keen on signing Rojas to replace Uruguayan winger Javier Cabrera who quit the club after just nine appearances.
Rojas is reportedly keen on returning to the A-League after he was released by Danish side Sonderjyske.
With City seemimgly out of the equation, the 28-year-old could return to former club Melbourne Victory, but a visa player would have to be released for a potential move to be facilitated.
Rojas, a New Zealand international, won the Johnny Warren Medal and the PFA Young Footballer of the Year award with the Victory in 2012/13 and was also named in the PFA Team of the Season.
