17 Jan Report: Matildas winger to join Kerr in England’s Women’s Super League
Matildas winger Hayley Raso will reportedly join Sam Kerr in England’s Women’s Super League.
According to Optus Sport, Raso is set to join Everton on a six-month contract with her move seemingly imminent after she was left out Brisbane Roar’s squad for last night’s W-League match against Sydney FC.
The 25-year-old has 40 caps for the Matildas and will become the second Australian to make the switch to England following Kerr’s move to Chelsea.
A third Matilda could also be joining the WSL, with Caitlin Foord attracting interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners, coached by Australian Joe Montemurro, confirmed their interest in the Sydney FC star.
“Caitlin Foord’s been a player of interest for a while,” Montemurro said.
“She’s a player that we are interested in and there’s a couple of elements that we’re looking at also.”
Arsenal are top of the Women’s Super League with 11 wins from 12 matches.
