Socceroos midfielder Aaron Mooy netted a late consolation in Brighton & Hove Albion’s lacklustre 3-1 loss to Bournemouth.

Mooy’s smashing left-footed volley flew into the net off the crossbar with Brighton trailing 3-0 with 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

It’s the Australian’s second goal of the campaign but it couldn’t avoid the Seagulls falling to within two points of the relegation zone.

He also scored when the two relegation threatened clubs met in December.

Graham Potter’s side are winless in four Premier League games and will look to return to winning ways against West Ham on Sunday morning AEDST.
