25 Jan Olyroos qualify for Tokyo Olympics after win over Uzbekistan
The Olyroos have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics after a nervy 1-0 win against Uzkebistan at the AFC Under-23 championships in Thailand.
After losing 2-0 to South Korea in the semi-finals, the Olyroos were faced with a do-or-die third-place playoff to book their spot at their first Olympics since Beijing in 2008.
Played in hot and humid conditions in Bangkok, Nick D'Agostino lung-busting run into the ball and cool finish in the 47th minute proved the difference in a tight battle for a spot at the Olympics.

D'Agostino couldn’t hide his excitement after scoring the winning goal.
Uzbekistan looked the better of the two sides for the majority of the clash, even after Oybek Bozorov was sent off following a dangerous challenge on Zach Duncan with just over 30 minutes left to play.
"It is a moment I am never going to forget, and it wasn't just me, it was a team performance tonight," the striker said.
"We had to fight right until the end and we know as Australia that we have the fight, the talent, and the courage to do a job.
"We wanted to come here and win the tournament and unfortunately it didn't happen but we're not taking anything away from the boys tonight, they did a fantastic job, we are through to the Olympics, we can't be happier."
