03 Feb Report: Melbourne Victory goalkeeper attracting overseas interest
Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas is attracting interest from overseas.
According to Herald Sun reporter David Davutovic, Japanese club Sagan Tosu is weighing up an offer for Thomas who comes out of contract at season’s end.
More than 15 Victory players – including Thomas, Ola Toivonen and Andrew Nabbout – are without contracts for next season.
The 27-year-old is a two-time A-League champion and was awarded the Joe Marston Medal for best afield in the 2018 Grand Final win over Newcastle.
Defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco re-joined the Victory from Central Coast until the end of the season.
Gallifuoco, 26, replaces Thomas Deng who signed for J-League powerhouse Urawa Red Diamonds.
